Milen Panayotov

Born in Burgas, Bulgaria, in 1973, Milen P.Panayotov studied trumpet in the Primary and Secondary Music School of his city. In 1997 he recieved a Master of Music in Choral Conducting with Miroslav Popsavov and in 1999 a Master of Music in Composition with Dimitar Tapkov from the State Academy of Music “Pancho Vladiguerov”, Sofia, Bulgaria. In the spring of 2002 he also realized a Choral Conducting course with Georg Grün in Mannheim, Germany. During the years 2003-2005, he recieved a Master degree in Art Management from the University of Barcelona, Spain, specialty: Art Industries and Companies.

At the present Mr. Panayotov is a Musical Director of the choir “Orfeó Atlàntida” (Barcelona) as well as a Director of the choir Mil•lenium” (Barcelona) and an associated choral conductor of the choir “Dyapason” (Barcelona). He is also an active member of the Union of Bulgarian Composers. Milen Panayótov has guest conducted the Jove Orquestra de Baix Llobregat and has worked in diverse international music festivals as a piano accompanist.

In addition, in 1995 he gained the Prize “Best Polish Music performance” and Encouraging Prize in the competition “N. Stefanov “, Sofia, Bulgaria, Category: Piano duet. He is an author of a Symphony, Piano sonata, “Adagio” for string orchestra, “Rondo” for trumpet and piano, “Sonatina” for piano, Cycle of three songs “My Sea” for tenor and piano, diverse choral songs for mixed and children choir, etc.
